AVAILABLE ROOMS
The sanctuary, chapel, and several rooms in the church school building are available to rent.
SANCTUARY
The Sanctuary at First Baptist Church in Newton is a fine performance hall and has hosted many musical performances -- even one that comfortably accommodated 700 people. It is also an attractive space to hold a wedding. In front is the chancel, which is like a stage. The pulpit, choir seating, and other furniture upon it can be removed. Folding chairs are stored nearby. The space also includes a Steinway concert piano and organ.
CHAPEL
The chapel is adjacent to the sanctuary and measures about 33 feet by 48 feet with a 20 foot tall ceiling. There is no religious iconography in this space, and the windows face east. The room is equipped with its own Steinway concert piano and is carpeted in red.
EVERTS ROOM
The Everts room measures 25 feet by 48 feet. It is a more formal, lovely large space for a meeting or party. The room consists of many cushioned sofas and chairs.
FELLOWSHIP HALL
Fellowship Hall measures 33 feet by 48 feet. It is a casual space that is adjacent to the large kitchen and is suitable for many types of functions.
LARGE KITCHEN
There is a large is kitchen with commercial-grade equipment: stove, oven, dish washer, countertop, and cookware.
SR. HIGH and JR HIGH YOUTH ROOMS
These rooms offer a casual space with couches and tables.
